I achieved a master degree in Statistics for the Demographic and Social Sciences at the University of Padua, with a thesis on Peruvian women’s social needs, through multivariate analysis and microcredit experience with some local NGOs. I finished my Ph.D. in Real Estate Appraisal and Land Use Economics with a research on indicators for assessing National Parks local governance (with case studies in Italy and the Balkans); specifically, I studied the creation of networks among the key stakeholders involved in the coordination of the territory and management of natural resources in rural areas, through the use of Social Network Analysis (more details in this "danced" video: http://vimeo.com/50497978).
During the PhD I worked as research planner on some projects, specifically I have been responsable of sampling plans, analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, creation of questionnaires, focus groups and other techniques for collecting data through the coordination of experts and stakeholders.
I previously worked as interviewer in some surveys on customer satisfaction, and as facilitator of focus groups and other participatory approaches. Recently I have been the statistical responsable of an European project on non-timber forest products.
My research interest are on Social Capital, multivariate statistics, social network analysis, evaluation of local governance, conflict management among public and private stakeholders, surveys and sampling design, questionnaire’s question wording, collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, group dynamics, supply chain of non-timber forest products.
